These Gentey long blade snippers are handmade by skilful craftsman.
Their sharp blades allow you to cut threads very smoothly. They are handmade by folding high quality blade steel into scissors which requires special craftsmanship. There are two grades of Gentey 105mm snippers available in different material. This is the Highest Grade model using the best quality Japanese steel available, forged in Shimano prefecture.
There are blue ‘Ao-kami’ and white ‘Shiro-kami’ series of which we offer the blue one. The blue series consists of carbon, chrome, and tungsten to get wearing resistance and easiness to forge in heat. Ao-kami is still regarded as steel however it is a new generation steel, compared to Shiro-kami series. It will not wear down as quickly as Shiro-kami series.
Just like shears, these snippers require maintenance so you can use them for a lifetime. You will need to get them sharpened when they become less smooth for which we recommend going to a professional sharpener. There is one sharpener in London which we highly recommend called Kataba.

Gentey scissors are very popular within fashion and textile industries. The blades are made of high carbon Japanese steel which is iron clad giving them an extremely fine cutting edge and long-lasting sharpness.
